 The Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG), has stated that it will continue to deepen its relevance to Nigeria’s economy.

Sophia Horsfall, Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, who gave the assurance when he led a team of public affairs personnel of the company to the headquarters of Independent Newspapers Limited (INL) in Lagos ,also said NLNG has added value to Nigeria in the last 30years of its creation.

She said her company would neither quit Nigeria not relent in its corporate social responsibilities which marked it as a proactive organisation in the country.

She also promised to use her good offices to deepen her company’s engagement with stakeholders, adding her team was in INL to assure the company of support

Speaking, Steve Omanufeme, Executive Director, South West of INL, told the visitors that the newspaper is a national Newspaper that serves the political and business elite in the country.

He said with printing press in strategic areas in Nigeria, the newspaper remains a dependable medium to disseminate news objectively to Nigerians without compromising its standards and professionalism.

Omanufeme said DAILY INDEPENDENT would continually see the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Limited as company driven by lofty goals to turn around the nation’s gas sector, adding that the medium would not rest on its oars to ensure that the import of the company to the economy of the country is deepened.

Mr. Don Okere, Editor of the Daily title, said DAILY INDEPENDENT has bias for coverage of Niger Delta affairs and implored the company to take advantage of its location in the region to deepen engagement with INL with a view to making the Niger Delta area more impactful to the country.

He thanked the team for the visit and promised that the paper would reciprocate the gesture by increased coverage of the activities of NLNG.

In his remarks, the news editor, Charles Okoh, stressed the need for sustainable relationship between the gas company and Independent Newspapers Limited.
